It is a requirement from Ford that any 2024 Next Gen Ranger produced on or before 9/19/24 with accessories extending above the bedrails, and weighing in excess of 88 lbs., be fitted with the Load Box Reinforcement Brackets (aka J-Braces). These may be purchased through any authorized Ford Dealer and will need to be installed prior to installation of a SmartCap to avoid negatively impacting your vehicle’s factory warranty. Use part number #VN1WZ2627726A for most trim levels, or part number #VN1WZ26277236B for Raptors. These are not necessary for Rangers produced after 09/19/24. Please consult your Owner’s Manual or selling dealer for more information.
